HOW MUCH DOES AN INSPECTION COST?
There are a few variables to consider when determining the cost of an inspection. The age, size of the home, and the type of inspection to be performed are a few. The typical range is between $450-$700. Click here to contact our office for a quote.
CAN I ATTEND THE INSPECTION?
Of course, you can! We encourage you to attend the inspection, so you are able to follow along and ask questions during the process. We desire to provide you with a thorough inspection and a detailed report that answers all your questions about your home.
CAN A HOME FAIL INSPECTION?
The inspection is designed to identify and explain “defects” of the home. The report is essentially a snapshot of the home at the time of the inspection and a “pass” or “fail” grade is subjective.
HOW LONG WILL THE INSPECTION TAKE?
When we are contracted to provide an inspection, we prefer to take our time and be thorough, so you are getting the most value for your dollar. Each inspection is different and requires different amounts of time.
WHAT HAPPENS IF DEFECTS ARE FOUND?
The majority of the time there will be various potential defects that are identified during an inspection. The seller of the home is not automatically required to repair any problems that the inspector finds. As the buyer, you can negotiate for the repairs to be made before you buy the home.
ARE YOU AVAILABLE AFTER THE INSPECTION FOR QUESTIONS?
Yes! We are available to answer any questions that you may have regarding your inspection report. The best way to get your questions answered promptly is either by email: info@davenportanddaughter.com or by text (805) 366-3160.
